During my academic years in architecture, I had progressively developed an affinity for the architectural work by Rem Koolhaas, for he appealed to the logic and sensible side of understanding. So when it was revealed he'd be curating the 2014 Venice Biennale with focus on fundamental architectural elements over the last 100 years of modern architecture, it provided the main and possibly the sole reason for my visit to Europe. This series of blogs documents my visit to the Biennale.

We walked in to see the site of people enjoying the exhibitions. and in a weird way became a prologue for what followed....
... which was an intriguing set of scenes set up by beautifully colored and realistic little people. Each scene depicted various aspects of society and life.

I am not entirely sure or frankly can't remember the concept behind exhibit but it did make for a pleasurable viewing and attracted an immense amount of attention from the visitors.
